Aims and Scope

Editorial policy of the journal "Library Science. Record Studies. Informology" is based on the principles of objectivity and impartiality in the selection of articles for publication; high demands on the quality of scientific research; mandatory peer review of articles; collegiality in decision-making on the publication of articles; accessibility and efficiency in communication with authors; strict observance of copyright and related rights. The main criterion for selecting materials for publication is their novelty and relevance of ideas, scientific and factual accuracy of the submitted work.

The purpose of the journal "Library Science. Record Studies. Informology" is to cover the results of scientific research on topics in library science, document science, and social communications. The journal encourages research based on a rigorous scientific approach and the most modern technologies. The main audience of the journal is researchers, teachers, graduate students, and students of higher education institutions.

Objectives of the journal:

  • publishing peer-reviewed original and review articles covering a wide range of topical cultural and art history topics and issues;
  • establishing partnerships with international scientific publishing organisations;
  • adherence to editorial ethics.

Beginning with Vol. 20, No. 1, 2024, the editorial board narrowed the thematic scope of the journal

Articles covering the following topics are accepted for publication:

  • research of the peculiarities of archival affairs development in Ukraine;
  • functioning of libraries in times of crisis;
  • peculiarities of creation and functioning of digital libraries;
  • trends in the development of social and communication technologies in various fields of knowledge;
  • archival affairs as a research tool;
  • peculiarities of development of documentary studies in various fields of science.
