Мета роботи – розкрити тлумачення понять: «інновації», «бібліотечна інновація», «інноваційна діяльність» у контексті дослідження вітчизняних фахівців бібліотечної галузі. Проаналізувати теоретико-методичні засади щодо впровадження в бібліотечну практику вебтехнології для ефективного дистанційного інформаційного обслуговування користувачів. Методологія дослідження ґрунтується на використанні загальнонаукових підходів: соціокультурному, соціокомунікативному, системному, а також на застосуванні загальнонаукових методів (аналізу, синтезу, узагальнення). Наукова новизна роботи полягає в глибокому аналізі та комплексному підході до вивчення питання якісного задоволення користувача бібліотеки крізь призму впровадження інноваційних форм і методів у бібліотечну діяльність. Висновки. З проведеного дослідження можемо констатувати, що вітчизняні фахівці розглядають сучасні концепції діяльності провідних бібліотек з питань інформаційного обслуговування користувачів. Зокрема, пропонують шляхи впровадження інноваційних форм та методів, напрямів і способів реалізації інноваційної діяльності соціально-комунікаційних інститутів відповідно до інформаційно-технологічних викликів, які ставить перед ними суспільство XXI століття, цим самим ствердно позиціонуючи перспективи та досягнення в розвитку й упровадженні в бібліотечну практику інтернет-обслуговування всіма можливими інноваційними засобами. Зауважимо, що в бібліотечному інформаційному середовищі збережено й традиційні форми обслуговування користувачів, що й надалі залишається актуальним та відповідає потребам інформаційного суспільства загалом. Але це аж ніяк, не означає, що інформаційні послуги не повинні постійно перебувати в динаміці, удосконалюватися, відтак бути конкурентноспроможними на ринку. Тож форми й методи дистанційного (інформаційного) обслуговування мережевими та локальними ресурсами стають одним з провідних напрямів діяльності сучасної публічної бібліотеки
